It's finally the second month of the year.

What I want right now is three empty days where I can just knock out tasks (or read a book with abandon). That’s not going to happen any time soon, but at least I threw some random annual leave time onto my calendar. It’s not much, but making space to tackle life stuff feels good.
AI is taking over everything. This semester, my work’s faculty book club is reading Brave New Words: How AI Will Revolutionize Education (and Why That's a Good Thing). Not sure I agree with the subtitle, but I guess I’ll find out. We’re supposed to read a chapter a week for discussion on Fridays. The first meeting is this Friday and I just grabbed the book.
