My Top 3 is a weekly post where I count down three things I love in a random category. This week, we’re looking at my top three blogs.
I love blogs. I’ve loved them since they started to be “a thing” when I was in high school. I read dozens through college and my Feedly is full of RSS feeds I still enjoy. What blogs I enjoy has changed over time, but there is always something out there I think is worth reading.
Blogging isn’t so much “a thing” anymore. It’s all about “content creation.” Content in the form of social media and newsletters and “posts.” But many content creators direct you back to a website where information changes daily - with the most recent stuff on top. Ya know, like blogs.
They might not be called that anymore, but that’s what they are and I am here for it. I love seeing when a new post crops up. Blogs are a great way to stay informed about something I’m interested in, learn new things, or just be entertained. I love how most are informally written which makes them approachable. There is personality in the writing and each one is different.
