My Top 3 is a weekly post where I count down three things I love in a random category. This week, we’re looking at my top three cities I want to visit.
As much as I want to, I’m not going to cheat with this list and say that I want to visit every city. First, that’s lazy. Second, it’s not actually true. Even though we’ve got lots (and lots) of air miles burning a hole in our wallets, certain cities are never going to make the list. Also, this list is not going to include cities I want to go back to. As much as I love Paris, I want to expand my travel horizons.
So what is going to make this list? Well, new cities that can act as gateways to areas of the world I’ve never explored. Cities with lots to see and a mix of things to do. I love the chance to vary how I spend a day - from an exciting event, to perusing a museum, to simple moments ambling through a neighborhood. And, most importantly, cities that offer a chance to try delicious local cuisine.
