My Top 3 is a weekly post where I count down three things I love in a random category. This week, we’re looking at my top three email newsletters.
I subscribe to a lot of email newsletters. A lot. I follow 45 on Substack alone. Then there are all the newsletters I get from The Washington Post, The Atlantic, and NPR. Plus, I follow a bunch of random travel newsletters. I’ve got a few blogs I follow via newsletter. There are a couple of food newsletters, a few design newsletters, and one or two art-based emails. The only thing missing from my inbox is the hard sciences.
Email newsletters are one way I stay connected to things that I enjoy. I like that, once I sign up, all this great content comes straight to me. I don’t have to seek it out. It’s the lazy curious person’s way to stay informed. Plus, the newsletters I follow are always surprising me.
When I’m wading through my inbox, I always knock out the easy/shopping/alert emails first. I then tag my newsletters to read later. Once I have a chunk of time, I read these newsletters in order from my least favorite to my most favorite. The three titles below are the ones I save for last. If I’m having a busy week or month, these are the titles that pile up. I then get to binge read them in a frenzy of enjoyment.
