My Top 3 is a weekly post where I count down three things I love in a random category. This week, we’re looking at my top three leftover candy desserts.

Leftover candy. That feels like an impossibility - at least in our household. It might take us months to eat a Halloween haul, but it does get eaten. Sometimes, however, you get tired of eating candy by itself. Unwrapping and eating the same treat day in and day out, can get a bit dull. That’s when you can liven things up by repurposing those nibbles that have been hanging around for awhile.

Baking something is a great way to make candy taste special. The treats become little treasures and take on new flavors. Candy can be a shockingly versatile ingredient. They can make an every day cookie, bar, cake, or brownie a little more special. You can use candy whole, chop things into smaller pieces, or melt them to form an delectable topping. Adding candy to a baked good is an easy way to add a fun twist to your favorite dessert recipe.
