The first time I shared my top librarian tricks, I talked about the three things I used almost every day. Those tricks are still favorites, but I’ve got more up my sleeve. One of the best things about being a librarian, is that you figure out ways to find information more efficiently. After years of questions, you get to know a few things. There’s so much “stuff” out there these days, that it’s important to know a few fast ways to wade through it all.
Looking for information comes with a lot of emotions. Staring at an overwhelming amount of material can be stressful. I know I’ve typed irrationally hard on my keyboard when I can’t get to what I want. Using these tricks - either alone or mixed together - can help alleviate some the frustration that comes with trying to find something.
