My Top 3 is a weekly post where I count down three things I love in a random category. This week, we’re looking my top three pandemic habits I’ve kept.
I can’t say that I will look back fondly on the early months of the pandemic. They were a chaotic season of stress, isolation, logistics, and fear of the unknown. But, in retrospect, those months taught me a lot about flexibility, patience, and making small changes that have a big impact.
When things started to open back up, I gleefully sent my kiddo to daycare and, eventually, went back to the office myself with a smile on my face. I welcomed seeing people again and visiting places that had been shuttered. I rejoiced in getting back to doing things they way I had done them before. But, some coping habits I developed during the pandemic stuck around. I found that they were useful to my sense of rhythm and self. No matter how small, they provided structure or were just an outright improvement in my life.
