My Top 3 is a weekly post where I count down three things I love in a random category. This week, we’re looking at my top three things I miss from right after college.
There has never been a time in my life that I did not enjoy. I can find the positive in pretty much every season. But, even I will admit that being a young 20-something was its own kind of awesome. Just enough guardrails from jobs (and then grad school) mixed with a bounty of freedom from having my own income and place to call home. We were all just figuring things out and learning to be adults for the first time.
In some ways, it feels like there was a safe bubble around those years. Most of my friends stayed in the area, we had a city that was easy to explore, and it didn’t matter that our salaries weren’t high. We could make it work. Those were the years of possibility with fewer responsibilities than I have now. It’s hard not to miss them.
