Gonna keep things short and sweet this week because we're on our annual "ski" trip. I want to get back to building a jigsaw puzzle while eating cheese and drinking champagne.
This is the 200th edition of The Weekly Wrap. I want to say thank you! Thank you for reading! Thank you for commenting! I love putting this round-up together and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I just got my hands on Onyx Storm. Highly tempted to cancel everything else in life just to finish this book. I have to know what happens!

The husband picked Invitation to a Murder as our movie one night. I think it intends to be an homage to Christie but it's nowhere near that standard. The cast is overly play acted and their line reading seems forced. It also has a glossy production style which makes it feel campy in a bad way. It's not a bad film, it's just not up to the level of other recent murder mysteries. [Tubi]
Fast X is enjoyable for one reason and one reason alone: Jason Momoa. I fully believe he took the role so he could have fun. He went full villain and it works. Everything with his character is intentionally overtop. At this point, I just let the stunts wash over me because everything is so clearly impossible. No cars can survive what these cars do. I did think the CGI was a bit of a bust. As with most later films in this series, everything was just too much and it felt like they used every actor in Hollywood. [Peacock]
I always love when I get a chance to eat mushrooms. This week, I made mixed mushroom sheet pan gnocchi. That meant many mushrooms for me and gnocchi to keep the kiddo happy. This one is quick to throw together. I love shaving parmesan on top. [The Kitchn]
I forgot how easy ground orange chicken was to make. The hardest part is zesting the orange. I zest the entire fruit and not just half, but your mileage may vary. As a side, I oven roasted broccoli to toss in our bowls. We skipped the red pepper flakes and used a squirt of sriracha instead. [Dinner then Dessert]
This is just a stunning piece of artwork. It’s hard to believe it’s paint on linen. Look at those bubbles! [Colossal]

I don’t want to go back to real life after an excellent weekend with my friends.
