The Best Thing is our weekly discussion thread where we share the one thing that we read, listened to, watched, did, or otherwise enjoyed recently.
We’re in FL for the kiddo’s spring break staying with my parents. I used to live in this town when I was young. Yesterday, I got to visit the house I lived in and, WOW, was that a walk down memory lane. The new owners (friends of ours) have changed things drastically in the living area but it was still a blast from the past.
That's really cool, getting to see a house you lived in as a child. I often dream about 4501 Emory Lane (where I lived from ages 4 to 11) and I wish I could see it in real life, but I am sure I would be too shy to ask the people who live there now. (And it's 450 miles away.)
My best thing is that my dental health has improved to a remarkable extent after the appointments I've had between December and yesterday. I am now on the normal 6 month cleaning schedule for the first time since I was a teenager, when my mother still managed my dentist appointments. Doing this one important thing for my health is making me feel like a grownup, which I rarely feel otherwise.
Retirement Countdown Calendar in at 197. What costume will be trending for All Hallows Eve? Hammock rider? Watcher of growing grass? Reese’s taster?
