The Best Thing is our weekly discussion thread where we share the one thing that we read, listened to, watched, did, or otherwise enjoyed recently.
Last week, out of the blue, a neighbor of ours offered to babysit this past Saturday. We took them up on the offer and got to enjoy a wonderful dinner at a local restaurant. Best of all, the date night was just in time for our upcoming wedding anniversary.
I think I have to admit that my best thing is making it to 50. Waking up to the sad news that one of my favorite actors (Andre Braugher) has died at 61, I know that I need to stop taking life for granted.
