The Best Thing is our weekly discussion thread where we share the one thing that we read, listened to, watched, did, or otherwise enjoyed recently.
The husband put The Americans on randomly this weekend. I forgot just how darn good it was. We’ve decided to make this our “filler” show. I’m excited to slowly work my way through it again.
Ooh, I love The Americans. I've only watched it once (I think that was in 2018, right after it ended on tv) but I've been thinking about rewatching it soon.
I'll go with tv (again!) for my best thing, too. Housemate and I are watching The Streets of San Francisco (1972-77) while we eat dinner, and it's a lot of fun. It's your basic police procedural, but 28 year old Michael Douglas with feathered hair and wiiiiide ties is just hilarious. I also spotted a campaign sign for Nancy Pelosi, 1972, in a SF yard. Best of all, so much tacky wallpaper in every residence.
