The Best Thing is our weekly discussion thread where we share the one thing that we read, listened to, watched, did, or otherwise enjoyed recently.
My best thing for the week is that the kiddo played by herself for a whole two hours on Sunday morning. She’s not big on independent play right now so this was a surprise. I got so many other things done while she happily made some weird fort and sorted things in the living room. No idea what was going through her head but she was happy and occupied.
Ooh, sorting things! Nice, my favorite. Maybe she'll be a librarian too. 😂
My best thing is that when I stepped outside last night, there was a mama deer and two fawns about 10 yards away. One of the fawns plopped down on the ground at the doe's feet and the doe gave her some kisses on top of her head. It was so cute. I died. I love that I see so much wildlife, despite living in a very urban area with nonstop traffic. There are woods behind the house and I think there's a cemetery on the other side of the woods, so we get a lot of deer, foxes, and groundhogs.
