The Best Thing is our weekly discussion thread where we share the one thing that we read, listened to, watched, did, or otherwise enjoyed recently.
My best thing for the week is window clings. Since we live in a condo, we don’t have a yard to decorate during various holidays. This spooky season, we bought a packet of window clings to adorn our windows and mirrors. The kiddo helped and she was a big fan of sticking on the ghosties.
My mom is a good amateur artist, and when I was a toddler, she painted a life-size witch (cartoonish, not too scary) on cardboard and we hung that on our front door for Halloween every year. I wonder what ever happened to that witch. I guess she threw it away when we moved or something.
My best thing is sautéed cremini mushrooms. (How often is my best thing food? Probably a lot; I have a small life.) Ms. Jean made them with our steak and mashed potatoes supper last night and they really rounded out the meal. It's rare that when I am finished eating, I wish I had more food, but last night I did. Hence still thinking about it at almost 7am.
