I only use other nuts for pesto now, mostly walnuts. I have had "pine mouth" twice, and I am no longer willing to eat pine nuts unless they're from a high-end restaurant that definitely wouldn't source them from China. But pesto is one of the most delicious sauces in the world, and I am very glad that other nuts make a fine substitute.
I am glad you are on the verge of solving your coding issue! That is a great feeling, when you're sure a problem has finally been solved.
My frustration was something I should have dealt with many months ago -- I got two self-scooping litter boxes via Kickstarter and they arrived in November. But I have a lot of mental health troubles at that time of year and couldn't get myself to try assembling them. So I procrastinated until yesterday. They were not hard to put together (my frustration is with myself) and I feel stupid for letting these two enormous boxes take up space for 8 months.

I had to google "pine nut mouth" and that does not seem pleasant. I'm glad pesto is just as taste with other nuts.
I hear you about being frustrated with yourself. It's the worst feeling when it happens but, also, there's that bit of hope that you can overcome.
